Right typing this twice because I have no idea why, posts are being crepe, I have almost given up on the PM system...

Is there an actual reason for this?   Other than providing those who normally can't be bothered moving from their computer screens to go out and support whatever even happens to be on with something other than Warcraft to occupy them for a night?

but seriously , Yes I know it wont be the same as everyone getting together in a venue but at least its something and you should appreciate that.  Eliziumites dont make money from putting a night on ( as far as im aware).

how about if people are wanting a venue of everyone chipping in and hiring a venue and then streaming the 'live' music to it- think of it as a remote dj party :)

a lot of staff xmas nights ask you to contribute so why dont you do the same for this. an Elizium hexmas night, if we want to keep Elizium going everyone has to put an effort in- hiring a venue costs money .

doing what is planned for Hexmas means a night will be on just in a different way (less the cost of hiring a venue)- how you want to spend it is up to yourselves- why not get as many people round as you can and have a mini-lizium.

 rather than slagging off the organisers at least show some support.

We do of course fully encourage you to organise Hexmas parties to get together and join in the fun en masse.

Alternatively those who are so inclined are free to stay in and listen while playing Warcraft.

We'll be hoping people will be going out, yup - Which is why we're
starting at 7pm so we can be the soundtrack to getting ready! I'm sure
we'll be after suggestions of where to go after we've finished online
to meet up with folk for real, face-to-face beers!

When exactly have I not supported an Elizium event in the whole time you've known me?   I've been to pretty much everything that has been put on since I moved here - the only exceptions really only being when I've been out of the country.   I've been to plenty of things put on by the Elizium folk that I don't recall seeing you, and a large number of others who post on this forum, at.   I'm not bitching at Alun/Jaymz/Fizzgig/whoever else is involved in organising this Hexmas, regardless of how my flu-addled post may have sounded - those guys do an ace job.   I was just getting at all those folk who constantly whine about having nothing to do, then don't bother turning up when there is something on.   I feel that's it's a sad day for Elizium when the only way to get a lot of folk involved in something is to put it online so people don't have to make the effort to get off their arses and do something.

No.  Don't compare elizium to a staff night out, thats horribly insulting to it, surely.

I Guess i'm someone that 'whines' about there not being anything that I like going on in venues.  This is mostly because i hate pretty much everything, and in all honesty Elizium stopped being enjoyable for me a long time ago.  Thats not to say It's shit, in fact its ace.. But it's no longer for me. - tactful huh?

Overall though i love the Idea, Not just because it means folks can organise there own party around it, thus being more of a community event, but it blows out one of my major criticisms of elizium.. that is the Clique.  If you Flyer for this shit, you may be able to drum up fresh blood..  Also those who know can host nice safe warm non clique (or a different clique) parties around this.  I like it.

Not so much of a "secret" bunker now though ;P
