Jim, could you let me know how this differs from what you were playing, eg are there any types of choons that I haven't played that were going down particularly well etc, cheers min.

Ha - I think the only
Jimsin — Sat, 27/09/2008 - 21:29Ha - I think the only overlap between what you're playing and what we ended up playing is Pendulum - which seems to be one band that everybody loves no matter what kind of music they're into.
Think this playlist is truer to what we set out to do with Supernaut - but for me the trouble was always the lack of goth types in the Moorings ... We always refused to play metal though, which drew us more and more into a sort of eclectic mix of stuff which varied widely depending on who was in there on the night.
If you do a search for Supernaut on Aberdeen-music.com, you'll get a lot of playlists ... the stuff that went down well was always the most well known tracks by any particular group (ie 'Temple of Love' would always go down a storm, but 'First & Last & Always' would clear the dancefloor).

Pendulum
Darkest_Star — Mon, 29/09/2008 - 11:58Bit off topic but I have tickets to see them in the Forum (I think, it was originally going to be Snafu) on Saturday, being you I'm sure you knew about it anyway but I thought I'd mention the gig in case anyone else fancies going along. Think they were about £16 and are available from One Up.
Lousy rotten karmic retribution............
its only a DJ set though, not
wired_protocol — Wed, 01/10/2008 - 00:02its only a DJ set though, not the band line up.

DJ set
Darkest_Star — Thu, 02/10/2008 - 14:02Is it? Poo.
Ah well that's probably good as it'll be easier just to sit through since I've been ill all week and don't really want to be dancing but would've totally had to if it was a proper gig.
Lousy rotten karmic retribution............

wired_protocol — Thu, 02/10/2008 - 17:45Dont get me wrong the dj set will still fucking rock and you won't be able to just sit down!

The reason Sheenagh dear is
shatsome — Fri, 03/10/2008 - 10:24The reason Sheenagh dear is that the track I played was from DJ Yoda's - "How to Cut & Paste - 80's Edition" album, and the track is only 56 seconds long, so I did play all of it :P I can see me playing a lot of Sheenagh requests at the next Supernaut though, so start writing a list ;)
