My recommendations for this month

Tags:

Since nothing much is happening here at the moment I thought I would recommend the following:

Hanzel Und Gretyl - '2012: Zwanzig Zwolf'

If you don't know these kids already, they are kind of Ministry meets Rammstein, or something.

UnterArt - 'Memento'

Stompy synthy poundy stuff with pop hooks galore, awesome :)

it's an odd one innit,

it's an odd one innit, coupla stonking tracks, a few that grow on you and some filler. I like it though :)

You know, I've not listened

TheFASTone's picture

You know, I've not listened to any new mewzac in ages, Since Elizium has not really been on the go (properly) for a good long while, and the "scene" seems to have all but dried up of late, I just don't hear anything, and I'm rarely in the company of anyone else that listens to this kind of music either, I just get cut off....

Perhaps you could make a few more recommendations....  :)

Anyone heard any Angels On

Anyone heard any Angels On Acid? Their album 'Eyes Behind The Curtain' is most definitely worth a listen. Infact, one of my requests shall be Misery Loves Company by them.

I will think of other things and post nearer the time

Warning: Feed sugary substances at your own risk.

I have the Angels On Acid

I have the Angels On Acid album, and it's not too shoddy, not really
anything you can play in a club though, so doesn't get my attention
that much.

I can also recommend for Dale:

Fuck The Mainstream Vol.1 (it's rather good for catching up on the scene over the last year ;) )

Alien Vampires - No One Here Gets Out Alive

XP8 - The Art Of Revenge

not sure how long it's been so just to make sure: Cyanotic, Dope Stars Inc, Angelspit, Zombie Girl, Noisuf-X, SAM, Destroid,
Emigrate just off the top of my head.

Meh

I thought Fuck The Mainstream looked a bit twee and generic...

To a degree I suppose. There

To a degree I suppose. There is only 1 cds worth of really good tracks out of 4 cds, so hmm. Probably another CDs worth of good bands with not their best trax. Overall I think it is a fair way of seeing what the scene has been up to recently without having to buy 20 cds.

Excelent! Ta muchly! One

I refuse to buy Fuck The

Yutani's picture

I refuse to buy Fuck The Mainstream due to it's moronic title, it's as if they've set out to make the industrial/ebm/whatever scene look like a bunch of 14 year old kids. And right now bands in the "scene" do little to actually change that impression, it's either nonsense about zombies, evil stuff, body beats... or it's just badly produced Oontz Oontz Oontz. Take for example the latest Hocico album, what a waste of time. And XP8...no!

But don't worry, I hate everything - propa industrial!

Anyway rocking my socks lately:

IAMX - The Alternative
EZ3Kiel - Various stuff (recommended by Fred)
Soho Dolls - Ribbed Music For The Numb Generation (recommended by Sheenagh!)
November Novelet - Magic

Ryan, thats like, totally

I do agree very very much

Redcifer's picture

I do agree very very much with Ryan... I haven't made any new major discoveries for about a year in the so called "EBM - Industrial " Realm of music, A lot of people mentioned Zombie girl, Emilie Autumn and such... wich I am not gonna comment on, and Emigrate .... is a big no no for me, I do like some Hazel und Gretyl tough and Crisk as well... Oh an for the people I haven't been annoying yet, The retrosic, Psyclon Nine, Wumpscut (early stuff) for the industrial if you can call it like that. I have been listening a lot of non elizium music lately as well but I wouldn't mind discovering new descent bands in that genre... Any advice?
