I'd like to say, i sort of totally agree.. EXCEPT, what would be the point? its not like this is a thriving community anymore. The event itself is still going, and all the regulars appear to go too, so thats not the issue, but this forum got dead well before the redesign. lets face it, the goth scene up here is dead, the forums are dead coz no one seems to care. its the old story of no one will use it but once its gone everyone will complain.

Re the site, I'm not going to put much effort into the site if nobody uses it... I stil have a bunch of things I want to do cause they're really cool (I think) but I'm not going to put the time in if nobody will likely use them.

Now that's an idea, stick up a few galleries on thise sites, from some of the gigs and some of the 'better' pics from the old site then at leaset folks will still be able to veiw them and it will save space on your server!

You have even taken off the links to peoples websites which are hosted on Elizium.net.

It was only until last week that you finaly fixed the posting problems people were having. Considering the site changed back in SEPTEMBER! and people moaned about the problems we were having- why did it take 6 months to fix?

elizium may be "fairly busy" but its mostly a core of the old regulars. surely the fact that there is only one goth/beepy club on shows the scene is fading away.
when we have been flyering for spooky toy been nosey asking people and they all seem to go to moshulu and dont know bout elizium. (yes, been whoring elizium.net to try to get folk on to it)

now, what do i do? Do I go out of my way to organise more things in the hope that people will actually bother? its pretty disheartening I can tell you...

2. folk need realise that to keep Elizium going both as a club and forum, you have to keep it fresh and get new folk into it..... what happens when we all get old, and start staying in (oh hold on we do that already) . This site is about the only way to get folks involved and get Elizium out ot the masses.
on the positive side - The radio shows are an absolute hoot, keep them coming.
I dont care if Im annoying folk on here speaking my mind, but at least we are finally getting people talking on the forum again.....
Me and Demonika, do try and whore Elizium every chance we get, we mention it to folk at our stalls, we tell people as we bump into them , we are all for supporting our local goth club...we even bought ourselves the laser,smoke machines etc to help add Atmosphere to theTunnels ( even though we arent allowed to use the smoke) . Andy and myself have basically supplied a good £500 worth of kit every month to help out and have asked for nothing in return. We didnt storm off in a huff when we had to start paying entry to the tunnels.
To say that we dont show any support and never post is shite.

The thing you're loosing sight of is that things like frozen bubble and chess are all well and good, but they really don't make the site seem any more active.
Ok, rundown of somethings that I would like to do:
A Gallery
Interest groups - like a group for folk interested in EBM, one for old goths, Elizium fm, "comedy fetish", cheese plants whatever - you guys can create them and maange them yourself.
The point about the hosted sites is well taken and its not something I'd noticed.
There were a couple of ideas I had floating round for "user sponsorship" giving extra benefits like hosting space and email quotas but that'll take a lot of work and I couldn't get the paypal module working like I wanted
I suppose I could even get Wintermute talking again if people were actually going to use the chatroom other than for Radio nights.... didn't folk try and organise chats and stuff back in the old days? I forget...
I do take the point about some of the wording in areas of the site maybe being a little lacksidasical and also that nowhere does it really mention the stuff that used to be on top of the front page if you weren't logged in to tell you what Elizium was about... question is... is this site about EXACTLY the same thing as the club night? What aobut the radio nights? I mean, take Elusive.... not massively gothy bands, eh? Maybe its more for a collective of likeminded individuals to express themselves, arrange to meet up and score with freshers? Discuss.
Also, would be nice if you guys posted news once in a while as opposed to us doing all the work!!

The gallery idea is good, although knowing everyone here it will turn into the following albumns : Elizium, Jimsin, Random, Lolcat. but at least it will add more interaction to the site.

THe way I view Elizium.net is more of a community site for Goths and randoms alike. yes it has the same name and is used to promote the club nights but it is much wider than that. Elusive and the radio shows all come under the Elizium brand if you want to call it that, but they also show that there is much more stuff out there that folk will find interesting..
actually when you think about it Motormark were Eliziums favourite house band and they arent very goth either!.
So yeah Elizium the club, promotes elizium the website, which promotes enlightenment .
Even if we tweaked the flyers slightly to help promote the 'brand' if you dont know what it is why would you buy into it.

I do take the point about some of the wording in areas of the site maybe being a little lacksidasical and also that nowhere does it really mention the stuff that used to be on top of the front page if you weren't logged in to tell you what Elizium was about... question is... is this site about EXACTLY the same thing as the club night? What aobut the radio nights? I mean, take Elusive.... not massively gothy bands, eh? Maybe its more for a collective of likeminded individuals to express themselves, arrange to meet up and score with freshers? Discuss.
Also, would be nice if you guys posted news once in a while as opposed to us doing all the work!!

The gallery idea is good, although knowing everyone here it will turn into the following albumns : Elizium, Jimsin, Random, Lolcat. but at least it will add more interaction to the site.

THe way I view Elizium.net is more of a community site for Goths and randoms alike. yes it has the same name and is used to promote the club nights but it is much wider than that. Elusive and the radio shows all come under the Elizium brand if you want to call it that, but they also show that there is much more stuff out there that folk will find interesting..
actually when you think about it Motormark were Eliziums favourite house band and they arent very goth either!.
So yeah Elizium the club, promotes elizium the website, which promotes enlightenment .
Even if we tweaked the flyers slightly to help promote the 'brand' if you dont know what it is why would you buy into it.
example of slight tweaking but much more appealling for those that are not the regular bunch
